A single vehicle accident on Interstate Five in the Yoncalla area on Wednesday night backed up northbound traffic for a time.
Information from Oregon State Police says that at around 9:00 p.m. a 58 year old female driver told troopers that she was going southbound in a van when another car swerved into her lane. The driver said she swerved onto the shoulder to avoid the other vehicle but over corrected and hit the center median. The driver said she then flipped and landed in the northbound lanes. The driver had minor injuries and refused medical attention according to the report.
Northbound traffic was backed up while police and towing crews dealt with the situation.
