SPECIAL ROSEBURG COUNCIL MEETING CANCELLED

December 6, 2017Kyle BaileyNews Radio 1240 KQEN Comments

December 6, 2017 10:10 a.m.

A special meeting of the Roseburg City Council scheduled for Thursday morning has been cancelled.

Less than 24 hours after announcing the meeting, an email from city staff said the meeting would be rescheduled for a later date. The council was set to conduct a public hearing regarding the city’s plans to apply for 2017 Community Development Block Grant Funds for a regional housing rehabilitation program.  The United Community Action Network is working with the city on the plan. The application would be for funds from Business Oregon, the state’s economic development agency.

Management Assistant Koree Tate told News Radio 1240 KQEN the meeting was cancelled while work continues on the details for the public hearing. Tate says the hearing should be re-scheduled soon.
