A Scottsburg woman was taken to the hospital after her vehicle rolled on Highway 38 Tuesday afternoon.
A report from Oregon State Police says the wreck was reported at about 3:00 p.m. at milepost 15. The driver was headed eastbound when her vehicle left the highway, rolled and went down an embankment, stopping about 75 feet from the road. The driver told the trooper that she could not remember what happened. The trooper said that was consistent with the head trauma she experienced as a result of the crash.
Witnesses and some evidence at the scene suggested the driver left the road while negotiating a curve, due to speed. The woman was taken to Lower Umpqua Hospital in Reedsport with non-life threatening injuries.
