A Roseburg man is jailed, accused of dealing methamphetamine and other charges.
Sergeant Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says that Thursday morning at about 1:15 a.m. a deputy observed a traffic violation from a vehicle traveling northbound on Interstate Five and conducted a traffic stop. O’Dell says that Brett Cashman was the driver and the only occupant in the vehicle. He did not have a valid driver’s license and his driving privileges had been suspended. He was taken into custody without incident.
Sergeant O’Dell says a subsequent search of the vehicle led to the finding of 3 ounces of meth and additional evidence indicating that Cashman was involved in the delivery of the drug.
He was charged with unlawful delivery and possession of meth and for driving while suspended. Cashman is being held on $156,250 bail.
