Elkton Community Education Center is hosting its 9th annual Oktoberfest on Saturday September 30th.
This year’s festival will feature music by the Roseburg German Band, an apple cider press, traditional German food, and plenty of local beer, wine and other beverages.
Doors will open at 12:00 p.m. at which time people can begin to get a table and purchase tickets to access all the food and drink options. Music and dancing will begin at 1:00 p.m. Along with brats, other key food highlights will include fresh hot pretzels, potato salad and red cabbage along with desserts. A vegetarian option will also be available.
A cider press will be on site and people can either purchase apples at the event, or bring their own and take home freshly pressed cider.
Entry to the festival is $6. Kids ages 12 and under are free with a paying adult. The band and festivities will last until 4:00 p.m.
The Elkton Community Education Center exists to provide cultural, educational and social activities to participants of all ages.
