One person was hurt in a car versus log truck accident Thursday afternoon just outside Roseburg.
Information from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says that the wreck happened at about 1:30 p.m. at the corner of Sunshine Road and Wild Iris Lane. The report says it appears a sedan was leaving Wild Iris Lane and pulled out in front of the log truck that was traveling north of Sunshine Road.
The log truck driver says he swerved and tried to avoid the collision but the car struck the right front part of his truck.
The driver of the sedan, a 52 year old woman, was taken to Mercy Medical Center with minor injuries. The log truck driver, a 19 year old man, was not injured. The driver at fault was cited for failing to yield.
