PartnerSports Camp still has openings for partner participants for the camp which takes place July 10th-20th.
Organizers say the annual summer gathering pairs up campers with disabilities and partners without disabilities. The two week schedule for the camp focuses mostly on sports, but also features traditional camp activities like hiking, fishing, crafts and campfire cooking. Every partner has an opportunity to gain experience working with a camper and understand the daily challenges that each faces.
Most activities take place at or are launched from the YMCA on Stewart Parkway in Roseburg. This is the camp’s 12th year. Its open to students from across Douglas County.
