A transient is in the Douglas County Jail following an incident Sunday night.
Information from the Roseburg Police says that at about 9:00 p.m. officers responded to a report of a male transient who was allegedly drunk, disorderly and causing a disturbance at Walmart. The report said that the man had been asked by the manager to leave the store three times, and was refusing to do so. The man allegedly became unruly and started knocking merchandise off the shelves.
The man reportedly ran into a nearby wooded area before police arrived. Police chased the man who refused to stop. He was ultimately captured.
23 year old Joshua Tyler was charged with resisting arrest, second degree criminal trespass and for third degree mischief. He is being held without bail.
