Drivers on Interstate Five should expect rolling slowdowns to take place between Roseburg and Rice Hill on Sunday morning.
Dan Latham from the Oregon Department of Transportation says between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. crews will be working on tree removal. That means clearing trees that could crush a car or block the road if they fell during a storm.
Heading northbound traffic will be slowed from Roseburg’s Edenbower interchange to Sutherlin. In the southbound direction, traffic will be slowed from the Rice Hill area to Sutherlin.
Dan Latham says that flaggers will be at all of the interchange ramps along those areas, so motorists may be held for between 15 and 20 minutes while work takes place. Latham says the work is being done Sunday morning because traffic volumes are relatively low and fewer people will be impacted.
