Two people were sent to jail Monday morning after being spotted in a store parking lot on Stewart Parkway.
At about 4:00 a.m. police spotted an SUV in the Walmart lot that returned stolen out of Grants Pass. 29 year old Dru Boehme allegedly started to drive away when he saw an officer looking at the vehicle. The officer stopped the vehicle and detained the man for failing to carry and present a drivers license. During contact the man reportedly threw a meth pipe into the vehicle.
During a search of the vehicle, the officer allegedly found a loaded 9mm handgun concealed near the driver’s seatbelt. The man reportedly gave several false names before his identity was determined. He was found to have a felony warrant out of Jackson County along with suspended license.
Dru Boehme was charged with unlawful possession of meth, being a felon in possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, driving while suspended and driving uninsured. He is being held on $112,500 bail.
A passenger was found to be on probation from Josephine County. She was held for a probation violation.
