Greater Douglas United Way brought in over $1 million in donations in its fundraising campaign that ended recently.
Executive Director Bryan Trenkle says that cash pledges amounted to $1,031,785 with around $22,000 coming in the kick off breakfast and the golf tournament, nearly $82,000 for the Housing Initiative Partnership and over $44,000 in goods and services donated. That’s a grand total of over $1,175,000.
Member agencies were able to leverage nearly $562,000 while over 600 volunteers gave more than 6,500 hours of their time, worth around $160,000.
Twenty eight member agencies and 200 other non-profit groups are among those that benefit from donations to the agency. This is Greater Douglas United Way’s 62 year serving the area and the third year in a row that it has been able to raise over $1,000,000 in contributions during the annual campaign.
