Motorists should expected nighttime delays next week due to repair work on the Stewart Parkway Bridge.
Starting on Tuesday April 25th, traffic on the bridge will be limited to a single lane from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. for three consecutive nights. Flaggers will provide traffic control. Pedestrians may also experience brief delays crossing the bridge.
People who live nearby should expect nighttime noise that is consistent with bridge construction.
The project will clean the surface of the bridge deck, repair minor damage, apply a deck seal and replace compression joints. Some additional work may take place this coming summer.
Construction on the Stewart Parkway Bridge is part of a $1.35 million bundle that will repair the decks of 21 bridges in southern Oregon. Guido Construction of Roseburg is the prime contractor.
