With Mayor Kenneth Barrett in jail, the Winston City Council is still set to meet Monday night.
The meeting appears to contain a series of fairly routine items. That includes a presentation about a recent audit of city finances by Certified Public Accountant Steve Tuchscherer, a request by the Teen Center to rent additional space at the Community Center, setting of workshop dates to meet with the Friends of the Winston Community Center and the Library Board, and to review the city’s emergency plan. The awarding of several new business licenses will be voted on as well.
City Manager Mark Bauer says that Council President Dick Hayes will lead the meeting in place of the mayor.
That meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m.in the City Council Chambers.
