Alcohol consumption by one driver may have been a contributing factor in an accident that left two men deceased early Sunday morning.
Sergeant Kyle Hove of Oregon State Police says that 28 year old Brady Golladay of Riddle and 36 year old Roman Ferdov of Seattle both died in the head-on crash that took place in the southbound lanes of Interstate Five at the onramp from Harvard Avenue to the freeway at about 3:00 a.m.
Golloday was driving a Ford Focus that was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes at a high rate of speed, according to the preliminary investigation. His vehicle hit a Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Ferdov. Both men were pronounced deceased at the scene. There were no other occupants in the vehicles.
The report indicates that it is believed that Golladay had been consuming alcohol prior to the accident.
