A man is in jail and a woman was hit by a vehicle following an incident on Northeast Stephens Tuesday afternoon.
At around 12:30 p.m. a Roseburg Police officer spotted a man he reportedly knew was wanted, in a vehicle driving on Northeast Stephens. When the police officer tried to stop the vehicle the man parked in a business lot then took off running across the street. He was captured a short time later.
During the incident a female passenger in the vehicle allegedly jumped out and took off running as well. The woman was hit by a vehicle traveling on Northeast Stephens. She was taken to Mercy Medical Center. That woman has warrants for her arrest according to a spokesperson for the Roseburg Police Department.
The man, 28 year old Michael Davis is being held for a parole violation and for attempting to elude on foot. He is being held without bail in the Douglas County Jail.
