Raw sewage and storm water is going into Cow Creek in the Glendale area, again.
Jacob Brady, Public Works Lead for the City of Glendale says that due to the recent rain, the city’s waste water plant was inundated by a surge of storm water. The bypass of raw sewage and storm water began at around 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
The Oregon Emergency Response System and the Department of Environmental Quality were notified of the bypass. Signs are posted in the area warning people not to use Cow Creek due to the bypass.
The bypass will continue until the storm lets up in the area.
