Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center reached a milestone for the year over the holiday weekend. The animal shelter adopted out its 1,000th pet on Christmas Eve.
Thomas, an 8-year-old Miniature Pinscher, was adopted by a new forever family on Saturday, helping Saving Grace reach the century mark. The pet adoption center has now gone well past the mark with 1,023 adoptions to date.
Saving Grace is a non-profit organization dedicated to the direct care of homeless, abandoned or neglected animals in Douglas County. It is the county’s only full-service, open-admission animal shelter, providing shelter, food and medical care to thousands of animals each year.
