Authorities are looking for a suspected burglar after a Glide resident reportedly found an intruder in his home off North Bank Road Saturday morning.
A homeowner in the 1500 block of North Bank Road in Glide reported to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office that he fired a gun at an intruder after discovering the would-be burglar on the main level of the house.
The homeowner was reportedly alerted to the intrusion around 9:20 a.m. by his dogs while upstairs in the house. The man armed himself and went downstairs, where he claims to have found a male inside the home. The homeowner fired his weapon, but it is not believed the suspect was hit.
The suspect fled the house and left the scene in a white four door sedan, which left traveling westbound on North Bank Road. The man is described as being in his 30s, wearing blue jeans and a flannel shirt.
Authorities searched the area, but did not locate the suspect. Area hospitals were notified of the incident, but did not report any gunshot victims, according to DCSO.
