In the KQEN Business Spotlight:
The Roseburg Angel Investor Network conference is happening on Thursday.
Four companies will be competing in the Launch Stage for the opportunity to receive at least a $150,000 investment. They include SCOUT Military, Madorra, Rip Clear LLC, and APIS Incorporated.
Five companies will compete in the concept stage for a prize package worth $5,000. Those companies are Holm Made Toffee Company, Bluebird Cupcakery, Wrappin n Rollin, Two Shy Brewing and Simple Screens.
The event is being held at the Danny Lang Center of the Southern Oregon Wine Institute. The day-long event begins at 8:00 a.m. and will include speakers like:
*John McCafferty, Operations Officer of the Cow Creek Band of the Umpqua Tribe of Indians.
*Diane Mahoney, President of Consumer Health Research Incorporated.
*Todd Edman of Live Solutions,
*Kyle Kipperman of Video Games Plus and Level Up Frozen Yogurt.
*Tim Allen of Roseburg Rentals
*Seth Buechley of Solid Technology.
Community and business resources will be presented as well.
