A Glendale man was arrested by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office following a foot chase on Tuesday morning just before 7:30 a.m.
Sergeant Brad O’Dell of DCSO says a deputy was on patrol in the area of B Avenue and Third Street in Canyonville when he spotted Jeremiah Woods. The 26 year old man from Glendale was known to have an active parole violation warrant out for his arrest.
O’Dell says the suspect was wearing a wig in an attempt to conceal his identity.
The deputy stopped and exited his patrol vehicle. Woods reportedly took off running and the deputy pursued him on foot. The suspect was eventually overtaken and detained.
Jeremiah Woods was arrested on the warrant as well as two counts of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and a single charge of 3rd degree theft related to prior cases. He was taken to the Douglas County Jail where he is being held without bail.
