The City of Roseburg is accepting applications from people interested in serving on one of five advisory commissions that offer ideas to the Roseburg City Council.
Applications are being accepted for the Budget Committee, the Economic Development Commission, the Planning Commission, the Public Works Commission and the Airport Commission.
The Budget Committee meets during the spring to review the proposed annual budget for the city. The Economic Development Commission meets quarterly to encourage cooperation between the public and private sectors to help provide an effective community development program. The Planning Commission meets at 7:00 p.m. on the first Monday of each month to consider long and short range land use development issues. The Public Works Commission meets at 3:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month to provide long-range planning and financing of capital improvements. The Airport Commission meets at 3:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month to develop policies for future development of the Roseburg Regional Airport.
People interested in serving on any of the commissions can complete an application form by going to www.cityofroseburg.org. It must be submitted by December 19th.
