A motor home burned in Yoncalla Thursday afternoon.
Information from North Douglas Fire and EMS says crews were dispatched just after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday when a report came in that a structure was on fire in the 700 block of Elkhead Road. The first arriving unit found the motor home fully involved with fire with an extension going to two nearby buildings.
Initial attack units were able to knock down the fire to the nearby building with minimal damage. However the motor home was a complete loss.
North Douglas Fire responded with eleven firefighters and were assisted by Oakland Rural Fire, the Douglas Forest Protective Association and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
