The Bureau of Land Management Roseburg District will be extending a closure of the Wolf Creek Falls Trail due to the scheduled replacement of a bridge damaged earlier this year.
The trailhead is accessed from Little River Road. The bridge was damaged by a falling tree and was removed earlier this spring. A new bridge is scheduled to be installed in late summer or early fall of this year.
Erik Taylor, Supervisory Outdoor Recreation Planner for the Roseburg District says that at this time there is no access to Wolf Creek Falls. Taylor says the BLM would like to encourage the public to stay away from the location until that new bridge is put into place. Taylor says the agency is working on getting the new bridge in as soon as planning and construction schedules will allow.
Anyone with questions should contact the BLM office in Roseburg.
