Officials with Glide High School say they investigated a possible threat over Facebook on Thursday.
Superintendent Mike Narkiewicz says they were notified late in the school day about the situation. It was investigated by School Resource Officer Dave Lee. The superintendent also says that the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office was notified and advised during the investigation.
Mike Narkiewicz says the threat was a picture posted on a student’s Facebook page and a threatening message. After a quick investigation and very quick response, he says the student was arrested and taken to jail.
Superintendent Narkiewicz says at no time were students and staff in danger, and the episode did not require Glide High to go into a lockdown or evacuation emergency response.
Narkiewicz says the post was a prank and will not be tolerated.
