The South Umpqua School District will hold three “question and answer meetings” next week concerning the district’s bond levy proposal.
The district is proposing a $44.5 million dollar levy to build three new schools, and upgrade and repair other buildings. The district is also getting a $4 million state grant to help with the project, if the bond issue is approved by voters. The estimated tax rate is approximately $2.92 per $1,000 of assessed property value.
The meetings will be:
*Monday March 7th at 6:00 p.m. in the library at the Canyonville School.
*Tuesday March 8th at 6:00 p.m. in the library at Myrtle Creek Elementary.
*Wednesday March 9th at 6:00 p.m. in the library of Tri City Elementary.
