A Roseburg man is in the Douglas County Jail on over $500.000 bail.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says that Friday afternoon just before 4:00 p.m. police attempted to stop a vehicle with Jason Coker inside as it was heading north on Interstate Five near Garden Valley Boulevard. Coker was wanted for charges of identity theft from a previous investigation. The report says the man refused to stop and the SUV continued going northbound. The man eventually got off the freeway in Sutherlin where troopers with Oregon State Police forced his vehicle to stop and took him into custody.
38 year old Jason Coker is being held on charges that include multiple counts of attempt to elude, identity theft, computer crime, fraudulent use of a credit card, and for third degree theft.
The Roseburg Police report says the man allegedly used four credit cards to order pizza and have it delivered. The victims were from various states. It’s unknown how the suspect obtained the credit card numbers.
Coker is being held on around $535,000 bail.
