The donations have been distributed, and the numbers are in for the 2015 Cascade Community Credit Union Rudolph Run presented by Brooke Communications.
Thanks to the generosity of the people in Douglas County more than 300 children residing in foster care and an additional 255 children living in poverty had presents under the tree this year.
December 12th motorcyclists braved the cold, rainy conditions to help collect donated toys from over 10 locations and delivered them all to the Department of Human Services building on Harvard. Ê
From there, with the assistance of a few DHS Christmas elves, the toys were sorted, counted, and given to local children. Each child was given 2 toys and a stocking stuffer. Many children received a stuffed animal to snuggle with, also.
This year the Rudolph Run also brought in the donations of 27 new bicycles that were given to children throughout the county.
