One of the people who had been an opponent of Susan Morgan in the race for Douglas County Commissioner is responding to her decision to withdraw.
Gary Leif told News Radio 1240 KQEN that he thinks it is Òhonorable that she is upholding the will of the peopleÓ. ÊLeif is referring to the term limits issue.
If he is elected, Gary Leif says he will look forward to working with Morgan during the transition and will in turn Òtake the projects that she has been working on and continue to work towards a common goal for the betterment of moving the county forwardÓ.
Leif says he believes that other people will probably enter the race now that Morgan has decided to withdraw. Gary Leif and Mark Garcia are the current two candidates for the office of Douglas County Commissioner.
